Ather Konarc’s range and warranty claims are getting attention beyond specialist EV channels. Amar Ujala’s 1 October video, headed around a 200 km range and ten-year battery warranty, showed 114,610 views when checked on 6 October. For someone shopping today, the important questions are which version can actually be delivered and what coverage is included in its quotation.
The 200 km figure is not the currently available variant everywhere
Ather’s official Konarc FAQ lists 100, 125, 161 and 200 km IDC options. As checked on 6 October, it says the 125 and 161 km S variants are on sale in select cities; the 200 km S is expected around Q3 FY28. Those fiscal-quarter timelines are estimates, not a promise of an immediate delivery. Confirm availability for your city and chosen version before booking.
IDC and TrueRange describe different measures
For the currently available versions, the FAQ quotes 100 km TrueRange for the 125 km IDC variant and 130 km TrueRange for the 161 km IDC variant. TrueRange is Ather’s own estimate, not a range test performed by Electic Vahan. Your speed, load, route and conditions can change what you achieve.
The ten-year warranty is an optional upgrade
Standard battery coverage is three years or 30,000 km. AtherStack Pro extends it to five years or 60,000 km; eligible buyers can add ten years or 1,00,000 km coverage for ₹8,999. In each case the mileage/time conditions matter. Ask for the full policy, exclusions and package cost, rather than assuming ten years is included with every scooter.
A practical way to compare quotations
Request the scooter’s exact variant name and a written delivery estimate. Then separate the vehicle price, software package, warranty upgrade, accessories, insurance and registration. This makes it possible to compare a quotation with another scooter instead of comparing an advertisement with a complete purchase package.
For charging, work out where the scooter will park overnight and whether you can use an appropriate electrical connection there. Check whether your preferred charging arrangement needs additional equipment and include it in the cost. Avoid basing your decision solely on a maximum-range headline if you cannot recharge conveniently.
During a test ride, check seat comfort, foot space, steering at walking speed and ease of parking. Take the luggage you normally carry and confirm that storage meets your needs. Those checks can matter more on a daily commute than a feature demonstrated briefly in a video.
Watch the video and compare it with the official details

FAQs
Can I order the maximum-range Konarc for immediate delivery?
Get written confirmation for the exact version and location; the range advertised across a product family does not establish local stock.
Is extended warranty the same as guaranteed range?
No. Read the policy’s capacity, eligibility and claim conditions.
Should I compare the headline price alone?
No. Compare complete quotations with matching equipment and coverage.
